Having 6 girls and 4 boys we definitely know that boys and girls don't think alike. They come wired differently. This week we had two firsts at our house that illustrate the differences.
Emma turned eleven in October (I should have done a post on that). One of her gifts was to get her ears pierced. We finally went and got it done for her on Tuesday. She loves it. It was fun to share the experience with her best friend, Emma, who went with us and got hers pierced also. They both look beautiful!!
Matthew is twelve now and just couldn't wait to go deer hunting for the first time this fall. I think he was born knowing about guns and things like that. He loved hunter safety and can tell us all kinds of facts about guns and hunting. He, David and Neil went out on Tuesday, opening day. They only saw one doe and didn't have a chance to get a shot off. Neil and Matthew went out again yesterday and Matthew shot his first deer. He got a good sized buck. Boy was he excited!!! He said he was too excited to shot straight so it took him a few shots. I am grateful to see him succeed at something that meant so much to him. I am also grateful that Neil was willing to take the deer to Roger's Meat Processing instead of cutting it up himself. Thanks, Sweetheart!! Neil knows how I feel about handling raw meat.
Anyway, it was a good week for Matthew and Emma, but as you can see they think entirely differently.
