I guess its about time

I guess it is about time we had a broken bone at our house.  Aaron is the first of all eleven children to have a broken bone (besides a few toes). He was playing at the park and somehow his leg got caught. We knew he was hurting but we weren't sure where. I thought it was his knee or ankle. He wouldn't put any weight on his foot. We watched him from Saturday until Wednesday evening wondering what would be the best. He spent his days on the couch watching movies.  He wouldn't even try to move around.  When we would put a sock on his foot he would wince in pain.  Finally, we decided we should take him to the doctor.  His tibia (the larger bone in your shin) of his left leg was broken.  Thankfully the fibula was acting as a brace and keeping it pretty much in place.  We are now 2 weeks into wearing a cast. Two more weeks to go and then hopefully it will come off.  We brought the stroller in to help move him around. It only took Aaron a couple of days to learn that he could get around again. He is very fast at crawling/dragging his cast.  He does a funny little gallop where he throws his hands forward and then pulls his legs up behind. He is even starting to stand and take a few steps.  You can't keep him down for long.  I am glad it is cold and wintery outside so he is content to stay inside with his cast on.
