Halloween 2018

This year there aren't any Andreasen children here for our kids to dress up with. I think they are pretty sad about that.  Aaron wasn't too excited about putting on a costume at all until he started getting the candy. Lydia worked hard to make her own Moana costume.  She and Emma painted the shirt. I helped her make the grass skirt.  I found the wig at the Restore for twenty five cents.  It was fun to help her make her costume come togther. Joshua wanted to be the Pokemon, Polliwhirl. We looked online and found an easy costume idea and he made it himself. Dallin wasn't sure he wanted to dress up, but decided to at the last minute so he could get candy.  He was going to be Harry Potter and had everything gathered up, but after school he changed his mind and went as a baseball player.  MaryAnne and her friends were doing something together, but I am not sure what they were being.  I didn't get pictures of Dallin or MaryAnne in all the hustle and bustle of the activities.

I went and watched the Costume parade at Westside. It is fun to see all the creative costumes.  Lydia is at about 1:40 into the video and Josh is at the end.

Wendi Long and I took the kids downtown for Powelloween. We enjoyed walking and talking. It was fun and the kids got lots of candy.  After dinner we went to the Trunk or Treat at the church. We also took the kids over the Lobsteins. Sister Lobstein wanted to see their costumes and make sure they had enough treats.  It was a fun evening together.  We had  a few trick or treaters come by our house now that we are in town.

We had to buy pumpkins this year because we didn't grow any.  We decided to only buy two and have kids work together to carve them.  It was a fun activity.

Fall Band Concert 2018

MaryAnne had her fall band concert a few weeks ago. They have gotten really good. It is fun to listen to them play.  I am proud of her and the hard work she puts into playing the clarinet.

Here are the videos of the 8th-grade band songs. I hope you enjoy them.
