Broken nose
Last week Aaron and Lydia were dancing in the kitchen. Somehow he fell flat on his face and broke his nose. I don't know exactly how it happened because I was outside doing yard work. Lydia came running out saying Aaron fell and was bleeding. His nose was very swollen and bruised up. A couple of my friends that are nurses looked at it and said it was broken. They said just took make sure he wasn't snoring when he slept. We took pictures each day for a few days to see how it was doing. It really didn't seem to bother him too much after the first day. Here are a few pictures.
First day of School 2018
Everyone started back to school on Wednesday, August 22nd. We have all the even grades this year. Emma is a senior, David 10th, MaryAnne 8th, Dallin 6th, Joshua 4th and Lydia 2nd. We have 2 High schoolers, 2 Middle Schoolers, and 2 Westside students. Julia also started classes at NWC on Wednesday and Bethany decided to take one more class through NWC, so we also have 2 NWC students. Two seems to be the common denominator this year.
Neil also started his 25th year teaching math here at NWC. I should take his picture and post it along with the kids. He has been a good and dedicated teacher for a lot of years now.
The kids school days are longer Monday thru Thursday this year because the school district decided to do half days on Fridays. It should be a good schedule. Seminary starts at 6:50 because school starts earlier. Dallin and MaryAnne can ride their bikes to school. Joshua and Lydia can bike or walk. I am glad they aren't having to ride the bus and be gone longer.
